We’re Not Here to Just Make Shoes

When we started KEEN in 2003, we said we'd do things differently. We'd bring people together, look out for each other, and take care of our planet. That's why we're in business. We just happen to make really good shoes.

We Make Shoes To Make A Difference

We're reducing the impact our shoes have on the planet and making the outside and the trades more accessible for all. We call it the "KEEN Effect."

Harvest Materials

We use harvested materials, like webbing made from post-consumer plastic bottles and outsoles made with agricultural waste. Fewer resources, less impact.

Source Ethically

We care about the communities that make our shoes. Putting people and planet first involves every step in the shoemaking process.

Detox the Planet

We're removing harmful chemicals from our shoes and have been PFAS Free since 2018. No forever chemicals here.

Make for Life

We think the most sustainable shoe is the one you can keep wearing. We find innovative ways to make shoes more durable, comfortable, and versatile.
